Pedal On Cyclo Cross Race
Sunday 20th October 2024 - Popham Airfield, Popham, Near Basingstoke
Our annual cyclocross race is due to take place on Sunday October 20th at Popham Airfield near Basingstoke. This is an event that's suitable for cyclists of all abilites and you don't need any previous experience to take part, you don't even need a cyclocross bike, Gravel bikes and MTBs are welcome too.
Cyclocross is probably the most accessible and safest of cycling disciplines which makes it ideal for beginners and children. If you've ever thought of giving bike racing a go then this is the place to do it. You'll find a real mix of abilities competing in the league events and everyone is welcome.
The Popham Airfield course consists of a mix of open grassland, woods and banks and always promotes close racing. Used for several previous league events and the 2017 South of England Cyclocross Championship the course is real favourite with league regulars and isn't one to be missed.

This event will be run under British Cycling and Wessex League regulations.
